With a Bachelor’s in Economics from Clark University and a Master’s in Urban Education Policy from Brown University, Awilda has spent over a decade working to uplift and empower BIPOC communities through education policy, strategic planning, community empowerment, and advocacy. She is currently the Senior Policy and Research Manager at The Latino Policy Institute, where she continues her mission to drive change and create opportunities for historically marginalized communities. Awilda is also the founder of Amorosa Wellness, a space dedicated to holistic healing and self-love through energy work and spiritual guidance. As a certified Reiki master and mindset wellness facilitator, her work focuses on decolonized mindfulness, financial literacy, community empowerment, and whole-body wellness. Awilda believes in the power of storytelling, self-discovery, and healing, helping individuals shift limiting beliefs and embrace their most authentic lives. Her passion and commitment to community liberation make her an inspiring leader and changemaker.
